Hello.
Offerings
1.
Somatic Experiencing
Somatic experiencing is a body-centered therapy aimed at relieving the symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder and other mental and physical trauma-related health problems by focusing on the client's perceived body sensations.
Experiencing the sensations related to the traumatic event in a safe way allows a person to fully process the trauma. Clients also achieve heightened awareness of their physical responses to stress and anxiety and this skill can serve them in everyday life.
2.
Conscious
Communication & Partnership
What is Conscious Partnership?
Conscious Partnership is any relationship or partnership in which all individuals feel committed to a sense of purpose; both individual growth and the collective growth of the relationship.
3.
Recovery Consultant
A Recovery Consultant provides consulting and coordination with guidance, education and support through mental health and addiction services. I guide you through the complexities of mental health and addiction.
I will be your advocate and support your voice.
4.
Sacred Integration
The deep psychological and spiritual dynamics potentially brought to our awareness during ceremony require guidance, both before and after, for their full integration.
Even participants who have lovely experiences may not derive the complete benefit without some guidance and help with interpretation.”

Hailing from England and raised in Los Angeles I had an eclectic upbringing starting with my mad scientist grandfather in Christchurch, England who invented the mercury switch and the pop-up caravan to the rock-and-roll royalty that flooded our home in Laurel Canyon where I spent my formative years. These origins sparked my passion for creative design, my ease at being at home with the most creative minds and my deep need to inspire others.
My early career included working in both radio and television as a broadcast agency producer for the top agency in Los Angeles. I thrived as part of the extraordinary Emmy-winning team that created Apple's "Think Different' campaign as well as Taco Bell's "Yo Quiero Taco Bell" campaign.
In January 2001, my first son was diagnosed with Autism. He was easily disregulated and agitated by the world around him. St. Augustine says "Peace is the tranquility of order" and this describes the heart of my design firm Redbird+Willow. A tranquil environment was exactly what my son needed. The more I experienced my son's life change with order, the more I realized that everyone I knew could benefit from the same. We're all a little disregulated most days by clutter caused by exhaustion and exhaustion caused by clutter (trauma). Like my grandfather with his mercury switch and pop-up caravan, I had discovered something that I felt compelled to share with my friends, my world and beyond.
I bowed out of the producing world and took a big leap of faith to start my own business in organization and spatial design, then known as Karen Scott & Co., now Redbird + Willow. As the company took off, it evolved from closet/fashion therapy and garage renovations, to complete residential relocations, interior design and home management. I again found myself with the deepest inquiry that lead me back to school and into the ocean. I graduated UCLA with my CADAC and completed Peter Levine's Somatic Experiencing Trauma Healing and learned to surf at Malibu.
I love my life today and I live my life to be of service to others. By increasing your joy and healing, I increase my own.
